Our very first cacao ceremony at TCA will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 6:30-8:30 pm (the night of the Full Moon in Scorpio)!
What is a cacao ceremony you ask?
A gathering to drink cacao to create healing, connection and inspiration. Engaging with chocolate as a ritual, rather than consuming it as candy, has direct positive impact on our individual well-being as well as our global ecosystem.
Cacao ceremonies are a safe, nourishing environment for you to connect with yourself, the spirit of cacao, and other people in deeper ways than one can usually access when by yourself.
The group will be led through a cacao blessing, where they learn about the cacao they are drinking, and how it was prepared. The cacao we use was sourced, made, and prepared with love and intention.
Once the cacao is prepared, we will sit in a meditation circle and face each other. We’ll ground, give thanks, share our intentions (or not), and take our first sip together, anchoring our intentions into our cells. Then, for every subsequent sip, we can share something we are grateful for. We’ll continue until we finish our cups.
After we finish our cacao, we’ll be guided through a visual meditation to best absorb and experience the energy and spirit of cacao. To complete our experience, we will have a wrap-up and moment of gratitude for the energy we have created together.
No previous experience with drinking ceremonial cacao or meditation needed! Bring a journal and pen/pencil, and wear comfortable clothes as we will be sitting on floor seats in a folded leg posture.
